Mango Ice Cream

Summer is the season of mangoes. Mango ice cream is a smooth and creamy treat that can be made at home without an ice cream machine.


This healthy and and homemade frozen treat is easy to make and is perfect to cool you down on a summer afternoon.


 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream

  • 1/2 a can of condensed milk (7 oz)

  • 1/3 cup of fresh mango puree (sieved)


Instructions:


  • Place the whisk attachment of your hand mixer and a big bowl in the freezer for 2-3 hours to chill.

  • Pour the cream into the pre-frozen bowl and start whipping on low speed, until stiff peaks are formed.

  • After the cream has developed stiff peaks, slowly fold in the condensed milk.

  • Gently fold the mango puree into the ice cream base.

  • Transfer this mixture into an airtight container and chill in the freezer for 6-8 hours or overnight.

  • Enjoy your homemade mango ice cream to beat the heat!

Notes:

  • Your mango should be ripe. If your mango is not ripe, you would need more condensed milk.

  • Strain the puree to avoid fibers in your ice cream.
